Have you ever wondered: “When do children begin taking communion at City Church, and how do I discern when my child is ready?” If you have an elementary-age child who recently began taking communion or who has not yet begun to come to the table, please join us on Sunday mornings for a four-week class that will focus on the sacraments of baptism and communion with the goal of both educating kids and equipping parents. For kids who already take communion, we hope this class will enrich their experience of worship. For kids who don’t yet come to the table, we hope this class will play a significant role in their spiritual growth toward becoming a communing member of Christ’s church. And for parents, we hope this class will deepen your own experience of communion, as well as provide you with tools for discussing matters of faith at home, discerning spiritual maturity in your kids, and navigating City Church’s process of welcoming children to the table.
