Resurrecting Church Workshop:

Recovering Mission & Recalibrating Practices for our Rapidly Changing Context

“Part of the problem we face in the twenty-first century church is that most churches operate out of a largely obsolete understanding of the church that was developed in a completely different age and for a completely different set of cultural conditions - largely that of European Christendom. This is like trying to negotiate New York with a map of Paris or Rome.” - Alan Hirsch

We need a better “map” to help us become the church God is calling us to be in our own time and place. In this interactive, four-week workshop, we will engage some key concepts that will guide our discussion and help us navigate an open-ended conversation about how Resurrection Philadelphia can renew our commitment to God’s mission and adapt our communal practices to meet this moment in which God is calling us to live as the Body of Christ. If you are interested in learning more about our current context and exploring practical ways we can embody the love of Christ in this city, please join the conversation! This class will be led by Chris Currie and Dr. Cyndi Parker. Please note: We will meet twice in Center City, and twice at the Woodland Annex. Register here!
